    • I’m gunna have to troll. Dave Grohl is inifinitely more of a musician than Kurt. Just stating the facts… And further, I’ll argue with myself:To say Nirvana is better than the Foo Fighters is like saying Coal Chamber is cooler than Devildriver. Or like the new Morbid Angel redifines Death Metal as we know it in positive way.

      • I’ll take the bait. Comparing Nirvana or FF to Coal Chamber of Devildriver is terribly flawed. It’s like comparing wine to a bunch of grapes someone stomped on. Different class… hell, different school system.

Grohl does know how to write a good diddy, though often pithy and fuckin’ predictible. He knows what works in terms of modern rock. Smart guy, great musician. No doubt. Just feels like Cobain put his soul into it, and you can’t beat that, in my opinion. I’d rather listen to one Nirvana album over and over than the FF discography.

        • Hit the nail on the head. Grohl & FF are good at what they do (writing catchy/watered down, radio friendl7y tunes that appeal to the masses), but if settling for mediocrity means listening to Nirvana over the Foo Fighters. I’d still feel blessed.

P.S. Is Coal to Devil really an enormous feat?
