COMMENTS
I’ve had my tickets for the Boston show for quite some time. I’m really only going for Filter, who I’m dying to see. Seen Chevelle multiple times and they’ve been the same everytime. As for Bush, I’d rather just see a Gwen Stefani sextape.
If you’re going to see filter, be prepared for a let down. I saw them a couple times back in the day, and always thought they were below average and I was a fan of their music.
Yeah, I’m well aware of all the horror stories stemming from their original lineup(s). From what I’ve heard, since the band’s rebirth (aka Richard taking the name and running with it) Richard has been in top form and the shows have been the best of their career. A lot of the recent youtube videos I’ve seen have indicated as such and I thought TTWA was one of their best records, so I expect a good show.
And if it sucks, you can bet I’ll be the first one to complain!
Ultimate assembly of late 90′s / early 00′s aggressive Dad bands.
I’ve seen all 3, and I plan on seeing them again. I saw Filter in 2008 and 2010, and they sounded just fine at both shows.
odd show
I listen to a lot of Ken Andrews’ stuff, and just threw on Short Bus recently. I get a similar vibe from early Filter that I do for some Failure stuff… granted, it’s not identical, but there are some similarities here. Really digging ”Stuck in Here”.
hmm.. I LOVE Failure but I’ve never been able to make it all the way through Short Bus, just seems monotonous to me. Guess I’ll have to give it another try. ToR and Amalgamut were ok though
just listened to stuck in here, definitely see the similarities
