Sevendust ‘s Next Album May Be Their Last

Sevendust‘s next album may be the one to see them ride off into the sunset. Speaking on the matter through a series of tweets, band drummer/vocalist Morgan Rose offered:

“So guysThe whole farewell thing is bein “talked” about.we love each other, there’s no issue with us.we just miss our families.no decision yet”

He then continued with:

“So try n chill on making it in to something it’s not.we love u guys n we are FOR SURE doing another record n touring it.”

Earlier today he responded to a fan asking about them calling it a day with the following:

“were not goin away. Not for years. Were 4 sure doin another record n 2 years of touring. We knew the rumors would go nuts.”

I love Sevendust, have since the first time I heard “black” on the radio way back in the day. In fact, they are truly the only “nu-metal” band I have continually followed throughout the years. They are awesome live, Lajon has a killer voice, and Morgan is one of the best drummer’s around. I am looking forward to their new album, I hope it’s heavy!

They’ve made some boring albums but I still enjoy s/t and Home as much today as I did ten years ago. I also think they are possibly the hardest working band in history. I can’t name a band that has toured more than Sevendust has over the past 15 years. I’m not exactly excited for a new album but I will definitely miss seeing them live.

I’m not crazy about Sevendust, but i’ll agree with Honolulu about their album ‘Home’. Thats one of only a few ‘nu-metal’ albums that still mostly holds up today. Thats probably because they follow the K.I.S.S. method. Keep It Simple Stupid. Its just good hard rock. ‘Home’, ‘Denial’, ‘Rumblefish’, ‘Licking Cream’, ‘Feel So’, and of course ‘Bender’ with Chino from the Deftones…. good stuff.

My heart just skipped a beat. They’re the kind of band I would always expect to never stop just because they’re so damn stubborn. While they have put out a couple of dud albums lately, self titled all the way to seasons are staples for me.cold day memory was decent too. hope this next one is a rager, will definitely be seeing them live once again. lots of respect for 7D
