The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato‘s recent trip to Max Cavalera‘s (Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, etc.) compound appears to have been fruitful. The two have been working on and off on their ‘Nailbomb-inspired’ project in recent months with the latest sessions apparently reaping four new songs.
Speaking through his official website, Gregpuciato.com, Puciato offered:
“Cruising back from MC’s place trying to make my flight home. This is currently DIMED in the stereo, and makes me wish we had a machine gun mounted on the roof of the truck.”
A picture of the burned demo disc, if you’re into that sort of thing, can be found at the above-mentioned link. Meanwhile, an additional posting on the sessions Puciato made through his Facebook throughout the weekend reads as follows:
“Day two out here on this writing session with Max. Hotter than fuck in the middle of the Phoenix desert. Snakes and scorpions abound….drawn to the deafening noise coming from the room. Demoing heavy music the best way possible…at blistering volumes, no headphones, guitars and mics everywhere, all plugged in at all times, sweating and uncomfortable like we’re fifteen in a garage again. Maybe haven’t heard Max sound this pissed since Chaos A.D. Okay, time to get to work. Just checkin’ in.”
