Korn Finishing Up Work On Dubstep Album, New “Get Up” Remix Available

Korn have made the “Autoerotique Mix” of their Skrillex collab, “Get Up“, available for streaming below. Meanwhile, it would appear that work on the bands forthcoming dubstep themed outing is nearing completion. Band frontman Jonathan Davis tweeted the following earlier today (August 25th):

“Finishing up the new album and CAN’T WAIT for you all to hear it!! – JD”

The aforementioned album will see the group pair up with a variety of dubstep producers, including the likes of Datsik and Skrillex, among others.

Meanwhile, it would appear that all is not well for Jonathan Davis‘ recently issued solo CD/DVD “Alone I Play: Live At The Union Chapel“. Funds for the effort were apparently raised through Sellaband.com with copies of it being promised to those who donated a certain sum.

Apparently those copies never materialized with the aforementioned site casting the blame at the projects creators, ABC Entertainment GMBH. More on that can be found over at Kornspace.com.

While I know there isn’t many, or any, Korn fans on the PRP, Korn fans were ultimately ripped off. And I mean totally ripped off! They paid $25, $50, $100, $150 into a CD/DVD combo that they never received. They keep telling fans, ‘We shipped them!’ and leave it at that. It’s been 5-6 months of ‘we shipped them’.
Korn, and Korn’s management Prospect Park, are going to pay the ultimate price if they don’t unscramble this mess because there WILL BE an class-action lawsuit if it succombs to that. Korn endorsed that shitty scam.
Gunther Kutsch, the man behind this scam, is hiding but his phone numbers are now public knowledge. His cell phone number is: +491772805688. His office phone number is: +496821942480. I’m sure both will be disconnected very soon.

I used to really like this band but its been a while since they’ve made any good music and every time they tour w/anyone they get top billing, which is bullshit. Didn’t know bout the scam either, not cool guys, not cool.

Actually, I don’t mind this, as far as dub step goes. Keep in mind, it’s dub step, AND it’s a remix. So it’s uber-electronic. Not for everybody.
Considering you hear Davis for all of 10 seconds in this 6-minute tune, not bad at all. At the club, after a few skittles… good times.

Well, You hit the Nail right on the head with the “Not Caring” part.

Electro = Beep Tick Boom Boom.

Dubstep = Beep Tick Wobble Wobble.

Electro or Dubstep remixes of Korn = Not good.

This isnt even korn here. It’s really just Skrillex doing all the work. from the perspective of someone (me) who thoroughly enjoys dubstep and other electronica. this is really freaking good. the genre for this track would be ‘hard electro’ not dubstep. but skrillex is a dubstep artist and im seeing him in 2 weeks as well :P

I like lots of electronic music too but the Dubstep thing has been beaten to death and the fact that Korn is doing a Dubstep themed record out of the blue just cements that fact.
