Clutch To Get Their Own Brand Of Beer
Because their own brand of moonshine would probably present a wealth of legal issues, Clutch are getting their own brand of beer. The press release on the matter can be found below:
“American Beer masters New Belgium Brewing Company have teamed up with Maryland based veteran songwriters and touring icons CLUTCH to brew, bottle and distribute the brand new CLUTCH beer! The 9% alcohol by volume dark sour ale joins NBB’s Lips of Faith Series, adding to a beer family which already includes the highly popular Fat Tire Ale, which is now sold in over 32 of the 48 continental United States. The beer is available in 22 oz. bottles and a limited amount of kegs.
New Belgium and CLUTCH (the band) will officially unleash the ale at a very special kickoff event at the Red Palace in Washington DC on Monday night August 29th, at which members of CLUTCH and their label Weathermaker Music will be present. Admission will be limited…”

I will drink that.
that seems like a perfect pairing…
Fat Tire is disgustingly overrated. There are so many better brown ales on the market than that dirt water. Never ceases to amaze me how the shittiest products take off simply because they’re deemed “cool” by the right people.
I never knew Fat Tire was “cool”, it’s just dank everytime I drink it.
Yeah, it’s like “the” beer to drink if you aren’t going to be drinking a regular domestic and think you’re cool. I see it all the time.
Don’t know if I would call it dirt water but I would definitely say it is both overrated and overpriced, especially here in Colorado. I would much rather drink some of Odell’s 90 Schilling.
Odell has some extremely tasty beers. Especially some of their specialty brews. I wish they were distributed here in IN.
..Says the Miller Chill fan.
Me? Hm…not sure where this assumption is coming from. I’ll stick to my local micros, thanks.
I think Fat Tire is tasty, but that could be because I live in a place where you can’t get it so it’s kind of a luxury when someone brings back a case from Chicago or wherever. Bell’s is my favorite brewery in the region I’m in. Just about everything they make is fucking fantastic, but I can admit to being a homer…
Clutch beer – Done
they should’ve named it “10001110101 ale” or something to that extent. i’d love to hear people fuck that up when they order it at a bar.
not a huge Clutch fan but I always dug the hell out of that song. If they named a beer that I would buy the shit out of it.
“Guaranteed to make your Mob Go Wild!” …Ha ha…ahhhhh, seriously I’ll be here all week, tip your bartenders.
clutch beer = sold! but dark beer is nasty. I wish it were a cheap light domestic. I get drunk on that shit fo realz!!!
“Cheap light domestic”? ‘Tis not Clutch, that. ‘Tis not Clutch AT ALL!
If you want a cheap light domestic you should check out Kid Rock’s beer, think it’s called Kick Ass or something like that. It probably tastes as good as his music sounds, should be right up your alley.
Bad Ass Beer; can’t say I’ve tried it yet so I can’t give it a review. Jim Bean also used him to promote their Red Stag bourbon.
it’s ok will, i’m with ya on this one.
This is a cultural moment of heavy rockdom most high. Heavy beer for heavy music.
And all you know-it-alls with politic views.
Ideals don’t situate themselves in His groove.
So if you want to know, you just got to ask.
But if you don’t lose that skin, you’ll never be tight like that.
Watch me work, now!
Already got bottles in the cellar. About to have my first one this weekend. A 9% ABV Sour Stout…sold.
Right on! First Maynard’s wine, now this. It’s official. I wanna be an alcoholic when I grow up. Aaand done.
Drink to the dead!
Anyone in the Raleigh, NC area who wants to try Clutch should check out the Raleigh Beer Week kick off at Busy Bee Sunday night! I believe it might actually be a cask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they decide to make an ale named “the Regulator” it may be the only liquid I ever put in my body, ever again.
I would assume that the man would probably have a problem with them naming it “Binge and Purge,” but I think that would be fitting.
Next up – Worm Drink Rye.
$50 on Clutch members establishing their own brewery/distillery when they retire/get too old to headbang.
I’d slug some of this dark ale….clutch and accelerator and handbrake.
I hate my avatar.
Fixed.
awesome.
