The Dillinger Escape Plan Frontman Posts Oupa Cover
The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato has posted a cover of Oupa‘s “Driving” online below. Speaking through his official website today (August 23rd.) Puciato had the following to say regarding the cover:
“Cover of a song called “Driving”. Originally written/recorded by Oupa,the solo project of Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg.
The song resonated with me, and I dig the album it came from and wanted to record it for fun. Then I figured why not share it and give the album and original artist some exposure, while letting you guys hear me on a non-DEP(or heavy at all) track. So here you go. I’m sure this song will get shit all over on here but I love it. But I’m biased cause I love the original and pretty much anything Greg does, I’m down with.
No shit from me bro-city. I like it too. I’d play it to my lady fan with a scented candle burning and then surprise her with ‘We Are The Storm’ and a blazing firebrand.
I like the original better…even though both sound like the vocals were recorded from the bottom of a toilet…
too much reverb on vocals and can’t barely hear his voice in the mixing.. pretty song nonetheless. congrats to greg for the exposure
