The Dillinger Escape Plan Frontman To Write More New Material With Max Cavalera Shortly
A newly made posting on the Facebook of The Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato has revealed some of his current happenings. Here’s what he had to say:
“Working on some “to be released eventually” music, plotting late 2011/early 2012 DEP misadventures with Weinman & Wilson, and making plans to head out to Phoenix this weekend for another writing session with Max Cav. Good start to the week…productivity is trumping ADD on this Monday afternoon/evening after a week of “I’m home from tour” celebration. How’s everyone’s week starting out?”
In case you haven’t kept up, Puciato has a number of irons in the fire including solo material, mystery vocals and of course the above-mentioned new collaborative project with Max Cavalera of Soulfly/Sepultura fame.

Not a fan of DEP but if the project w/ Max sounds like Nailbomb, Like they claim it does, I will 100% be checking that out.
As long as it doesn’t sound like anything Max has done post-Roots, I’m in. Who am I kidding? I’m down with anything Greg does.
You like Roots but neither of the first two Soulfly albums? I’m just curious because I think there are some pretty huge similarities between Roots and early Soulfly.
Man. I listened to “Roots” a few weeks ago and It just didn’t stand the test of time for me personally…And even back then I wasn’t huge into it. I gave the 1st Soulfly record a chance when it first came out but it just never grabbed me. Too much Drop-Tunage for my liking.
