Stage Shot Footage Of Rage Against The Machine At The “L.A. Rising Festival” Available

Stage shot footage of Rage Against The Machine performing their track “Testify” at the recent “L.A. Rising Festival” in Los Angeles, CA can be found below. Unfortunately the audio sounds like ass and this time I’m pretty sure it’s not the bands fault.

The footage comes from the official “Guerilla Video” series that was commissioned for the above-mentioned festival and has already gotten some people up at arms due to its description, which reads as follows:

“A view from stage right as Rage Against The Machine performs the first song in their set at the L.A. Rising festival on July 30, 2011. The sound from the monitors on stage is crushing, and you can see Rage photographer David Atlas shooting the band for a final time.”

In the interest of letting cooler heads prevail, let’s assume “shooting the band for a final time” meant the end of the “guerilla video” series and not the bands final show.

Update – August 19th, 6:45pm:

As reader Quatsch pointed out, the text refers to the passing of the cameraman, David Atlas.

    • It looks like they meant the camera guy was “shooting the band for a final time”. At the end of the video you’ll see the following caption: “in memory of David Atlas, 1963-2011″

I have allways wondered how bands manage to play the same songs over and over with such passion/energy whatever, but how could you not with a crowd like that. That is fucking crazy.
