Circle Takes The Square To Release Digital EP This Month, New Album In November

Circle Takes The Square have set “Decompositions: Volume I” as the title to their new album. The group will issue the effort sometime in November through their own Gatepost Recordings. If that’s too long of a wait then prepare yourself, as a new digital EP from the outfit dubbed “Rites Of Initiation” will drop later this month. It will feature the ‘first chapter” from the above-mentioned album and will be issued through Bandcamp on August 23rd.

    • I don’t get why people are into this bang. Call it ignorance, but I have one of their old EPs and it is horrible. Terrible. What’s their best record? I’ll check it out.

This is awesome news. Thought for sure they weren’t coming back after “Roots.” Very excited to see where they’re at musically now. Does anyone know if it’s still the same lineup? I seem to recall them seeking a new drummer.

      • The line up is different. Kathy and Drew are the only original members. I am from Savannah so it is cool to hear that they are still making music. Cool side note: Circle’s old drummer Jay Wynne does a lot of the art work and video effects for Tosin with Animals as Leaders.

      • New guitar player (not the main songwriter), new drummer. Honestly, I’ve kinda grown out of this style of music since As the Roots Undo came out. I’ll definitely give the new one a shot though. No way they’re still writing songs that sound like stuff that’s almost a decade old.
