Limp Bizkit Mapping Out Plans For Next Single
It would appear that Limp Bizkit are mapping out plans for their next single, which will likely be accompanied by a new music video. Judging by recent tweets by band frontman Fred Durst, the group are eyeing “Autotunage” and “Loser” as the top candidates. Meanwhile, judging by recent album sales of “Gold Cobra“, if you live in North America there’s a pretty good chance you don’t give a shit.

Wooks a hater haha.
I can’t say I didn’t enjoy reading that!
Hater no, I’m pretty neutral about them. Just a jackass comment about how the album hasn’t been selling as particularly well as one would expect, even without touring.
http://www.billboard.com/charts/hard-rock-albums#/charts/hard-rock-albums?begin=11&order=position // A7X’s album has been out 48 weeks longer than Gold Cobra yet it is 3 places higher.
Haha I figured. I just wanted to be the first one to call you a hater.
I’ve been curious- what ARE the curent sales figures in le States for the aforementioned record release gents?
…and whilst I’ve got you here Wook, would there be any chance to incorporate the ability to use italics in a post? Apologizes for an off topic comment in a wicked Bizkit thread.
43,587 copies sold in the US (as of July 24th).
Thank you, chap!
There’s no real need for comments anymore if wook keeps hitting the nail on the head… I’ve heard touring usually helps out record sales… I guess they don’t really feel the need…
This news post made my night. Thanks wook.
It’s a solid fucking album. And for a band that has been away so long AND has basically been the butt of rock’s jokes for nearly a decade now, I’m not so sure it is selling that poorly.
It’s definitely Bizkit’s worst selling album in the states, but I heard that they’re doing well in Europe. Anyway, I think ‘Loser’ and ‘Autotunage’ are some of the worst songs in that album, and they’re either too desperate for mainstream attention and lost all senses of judgement, or just plain crazy thinking that pushing those two songs as single would do them any good.
Even though I’m not a Bizkit hater, the last sentence did make me laugh. Good one.
Loser & Autotunage are poor choices. I really enjoy the album, but this is not the kind of LB vibe I enjoy. They should go balls ou and release Douchebag as the next single (replace “fuck” by “ruff”, and it will do alright on the radio). Shark Attack would also be a great choice, since it’s got the same vibe as Breakstuff. Fred should do a video filled with guests, just like he did for that song 12 years ago.
Who the fuck is Limp Bizkit?
just kidding. wish i wasn’t though. would’ve saved some time and money when i was 15.
I’m in North America and I care. It’s pretty simple. No touring of the US and and virtually no promotion of the new album or radio play equals bad sales. So if they are going to release the next single it should be ‘Walking Away’. It doesn’t have the F word every other line and it’s a pretty good song. Not really typical LB but I could see this getting lots of radio play. There’s a lot of people who would get the new album but are clueless they have a new one out. You know the types that don’t sit on these websites and only get their music news from mainstream rock radio.
I think Loser would be a good song for radio, it’s catchy and has that Re-Arranged/My Way vibe. I’m pretty bummed Rolling Stone never even reviewed the album or interviewed Fred, and the big magazines have generally tended to ignore the band this time around. Because of course we all need more Kings of Leon or Mumford and Sons coverage.
Mumford & Sons is awesome. I definately think they get thrown around alot as the ‘next big thing’ which will probably sink their sophmore album.
I hope they decide for Autotunage.
HAHA! Wook, I love how you’re starting to pepper in a little more humor into the news posts, good stuff!
I hope that after this…whatever this is…has run it’s course that Wes gets back to the 2nd Bigdumbface album. Talk about a good time. It’s like the “tuned to d” album that Ween never made. Awesome sauce.
