Anthrax Guitarist Lashes Out Against Label Head L.A. Reid
Scott Ian of Anthrax/The Damned Things fame recently lashed out at former Island Def Jam Music Group chairman/CEO and current head of the Epic Label Group, L.A. Reid. Ian launched his assault on Reid through a series of fiery tweets, which also saw his The Damned Things bandmate Joe Trohman (also of Fall Out Boy) join in.
Ian was reportedly set off by a story originally run by the NY Post in which Reid is alleged to have ordered all ‘ugly people’ fired from Epic.

Trohman then joined in offering:

Before adding:
“I’m going to crank the song Exodus (by Exodus) and pretend Baloff is singing about doing all of that to LA Reid.”

whats even crazzier is i live in toronto and work downtown. I just finished work at 2pm today and walked down the street to king st to head to the subway. fucking bus was taking forever… so i said fuck it… and decided to walk. No joke… i was was walk eat who the fuck do i see Scott “motha fuckin” Ian where a tan shirt some shirts and some sun glasses. So i was walking past and i was like no way… thats not him… so i looked back and he looked at me while he was walking north.
My guess is because of the Heavy in T.o fesitival thats happening this weekend, he must have been just cruising around downtown doing whatever he was doing.
Just a real surreal moment. Btw, this is my first post and id wanna make it worthwhile.

I’m not knocking TLC, I love me some TLC (Chilli is still hot). LA Reid created pop music, he could probably give a shit less about anything rock-related, unless it sounds like Maroon 5.

@INeverWanted, Uhm 1st off LA Reid did say that. There’s several publications confirming that. And 2nd: He said that about Lady Gaga before she got big when she was still being shopped around to label exects. Cause all her releases have been under Interscope not Jive or Sony.
