Enjoyed this. Love me some APC!
Dammit! I was gonna guess “By and Down” until searching for it and deciding it doesn’t make any sense. Ah, well. Glad to hear APC are still in good form.
Sounds awesome, though I’d rather see him in a studio with another band…
Sounds great.
Just came back from the Kent, WA show. Good show, all in all, but man… brutal setlist choice. More than half the set was from eMOTIVE. Come on, man… I see he’s trying to push the lesser known stuff, but fuck…
Are you kidding? I don’t think I’ve ever listened to that record through once. That IS disappointing.
ie. the show being mostly eMOTIVE.
Wow, just looked at a setlist from that show… that blows. Who the hell paid to hear them do covers? According to the list I looked at they didn’t even play Judith and almost 1/2 of the songs were from eMOTIVE. How do you not play your most popular song? I’m sure I’ll enjoy the 2 shows I’m going to but I seriously hope they make some changes to the setlist.
That’s balls about the set list. Maynard does like to troll the fans now and then, though. At least they didn’t make it worse and play half of emotive without including Passive and Imagine. Then again: The Fiddle and the Drum? Live? Really?
Guess I’m no longer as disappointed that I’m missing out on my local date, since I wasn’t able to get floor tix in time.
Gotta say the fact they played Passive at least makes it suck a little less, that was one of my favorites. Not sure I would say he trolls fans (I’m curious as to any other examples you know of cause I’m drawing a blank). I imagine that they really did think it would be cool to play those songs. But I still would much rather hear songs off Mer de Noms & 13th Step or even some of their unfinished new songs than covers. I think if it was one or two it wouldn’t be that bad but 8/18 songs is just a bit much. I mean is there really anyone out there that would list eMOTIVE as their favorite APC album? Thanks for the heads up robichaud1, at least now if the setlist is better I will be pleasantly surprised instead of being disappointed as I probably would’ve been otherwise.
