Rick Rubin Comments On New Metallica, Limited Edition “…And Justice For All” Due This Week
Metallica look to be utilizing the services of Rick Rubin for their next official album. Speaking with Billboard.com on the outing, he commented that the band are:
“about to start writing, and I had a meeting with Lars (Ulrich) in San Francisco…to explore what the focus was going to be this time around. I’m still sort of thinking about what that is going to be. I’ll ask a lot of questions and we’ll probably listen to some of the riffs that they’ve been writing. Usually I’ll hear something that will sort of indicate the direction and then we’ll talk about it from there.”
In related news, Metallica plan to issue a limited edition green vinyl pressing of their 1988 offering “…And Justice For All” this coming Thursday, June 23rd. 500 copies of the outing will be made available through the bands own The Metallica Club while the other 500 will be available through Becausesoundmatters.com.

Could they just re release the album with the bass guitar added to it? Thanks.
Rubin blows. Maybe he was something 20 years ago. Now all he does is ruin otherwise good bands.
Who could ruin Metallica worse than Bob Rock did?
yeah Rick Rubin is very hit or miss for me personally……. he’s got amazing stuff on his resume, like all the Johnny Cash stuff, Chili Peppers, Jay-Z, Beastie Boys, Vol. 3 by Slipknot, everything he did with System of a Down… and then he does pure shit like Linkin Park and Avett Bros
