I have no issue with Bury Your Dead (I think among brainless, chest-thumping metalcore, they’re at the top of the list when Mat is involved), but I’m with FP. No one’s looking for a metalcore Ten Ton Hammer cover.

I think any of those songs is a lose/lose. really, def leppard, because Atreyu covering fucking bon jovi wasnt terrible enough.

I’d vote for Ten Ton Hammer and it’s leading with almost 50% with the votes.

Ugh…why cover an already perfect song?

  • Kydox

ahh machinehead, sad they went to complete suck after their most amazing album was released, The burning red was AMAZING, then after that they just went to shit. I’m with the rest of these guys, I don’t want metalcore in my old school awesomeness. Isn’t it about time that metalcore be phased out?

  • will

    -cover “low rider.” just sayin’

    -also, the burning red sucks!

oh will, stop, the burning red doesn’t suck. however it doesn’t even compare to burn my eyes.

I’m with Will. The only song I like off The Burning Red is the title track. I don’t consider any of the albums between The More Things Change and The Blackening as real Machine Head albums.

Hear me now, words I vow: Only hipsters wouldn’t consider any of the albums between The More Things Change and The Blackening as real MH albums.

I voted for The Bangles, since I figured it be the furthest removed from the original, which seemed like the best way to approach this.

Second for the Egyptian number. I just got a flashback of when Linea 77 covered that Bangles song. Turned out pretty cool, well to me, so it would be bitchin’ to hear a much heavier band do that….
