Unearth Debut New Track “Ruination Of The Lost”

A new Unearth track by the name of “Ruination Of The Lost” has debuted online over at Metal Sucks. The song is taken from the bands new album “Darkness In The Light“, which is due out through Metal Blade on July 05th.

In the meantime, band frontman Trevor Phipps had the following to offer on the song:

“‘Ruination Of The Lost‘ is a pummeling frontend album song that showcases our mix of both American and European metallic influences with an Apocalyptic lyrical theme. Buz [McGrath] and Ken [Susi] both rip some serious guitar solos in the tune and their guitar harmonies are hauntingly catchy. This one is a high energy shredder while lyrically it speaks about the end of the human race in the not so distant future if we continue to destroy our planet with the current level of disregard year after year.

It’s hard for me to understand why people still let money and politics interfere with any real positive change even with the warning signs Mother Nature has given us. The title of the song refers to the self-destructive nature of the human race and how we are collectively so lost in our lust for money and power that we are destroying the world that gave us life in the first place.”

another idiot liberal musician singing about how humans will cause the earth to end. sorry to burst your ego, but humans don’t have the ability to destroy the planet. get over yourself.

    • Dude, humans ARE destroying the world. I’m pretty sure we’re the sole blame for the collapse of everything and the depletion of natural resources and exstiction of entire spieces. If you don’t think it’s humans fault, go back back to listening to Underoath with your prayer circle until October 21 when the next fake doomsday doesn’t happen.

Meh, I don’t think we’re destroying the world to the extent the “average person” thinks these days. We’re giving ourselves a hell of a lot of credit. Yes, we’re a bunch of drooling, polluting, mass consumers, and it’ll get worse before it gets better, but as a betting man, if I had to put my money on who’s gonna destroy who first, I’d put my future children’s college tuition on the Planet, not us. We’ll all get frozen or scorched before we “succeed” in destroying Earth – regardless of whether we all become vegetarian smartcar drivers, or Wal-Mart poster fatties.
That said, I’d rather live in a world where money isn’t the be all and end all (and it is) and the IMF and World Bank aren’t in total control, but what can you do? One revolution at a time, right?

wow, what a great track. recently i’ve been thinking that heavy music is in a deep depression, no signs of that in the newest outputs of unearth, august burns red and trivium.

although its off-topic: yes, humans are definetly destroing the planet. or they are at least decreasing its life span. you dont have to be a scientist or a religious fuck to approve that.

    • For christ’s sake, the dude’s got the troll face as his avatar. That should be sign #1 to completely disregard anything he says. Sign #2 would be the actual content of his post.
