I Am War, the new side project from Atreyu frontman Alex Varkatzas and Bleeding Through vocalist Brandan Schieppati, have made some new demo tracks available for streaming through Myspace.

Kinda reminds me of old school Eighteen Visions, and I love it. Go figure since he was in the band, and Bleeding Through/Atreyu both came up around the same time. Nice to hear Brandon bring back some good ol’ West Coast metal/hardcore.
This is about a million times better then anything atreyu have released in the last decade, and no it’s not as awesome as old eighteen visions

Never said it was AS awesome as Eighteen Visions. Just said some of the guitar riffs remind me of them. 18V > IAW, I will not be misquoted!!!
I’ve got a soft spot for Atreyu from high school / early college days, I loved their albums up until they signed on the Disney label. Atreyu > 18V (and I prefer the newer stuff – Obsession is tits) > Bleeding Through. Let the flame war commence.
Atreyu were done after the first record IMO. the second is good, but they are not that good (cough cough protools). and this is nice! If this was a random band posted I would ignore it, but given the artists involved past (alex, I mean you) I’m shocked at this product’s “edge.”
@ Natemare. I guess BleedingThrough are on break? perhaps Marta’s fine ass is with child. can’t leave her behind! I for one, would be upset.
