Suicide Silence Frontman Discusses “The Black Crown”

Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker recently took the time to discuss the bands new album “The Black Crown” with Altpress.com. Speaking on the direction of the new material, he offered the following:

“People know we’re good musicians. We don’t need to play as fast as we can or as crazy we can all the time. It’s better to give breathers and breaks. And this record has way more groove and way more bounciness, way more catchiness. We focused a lot on that.”

The Black Crown” is currently slated to receive a July release date through Century Media.

“People know we’re good musicians…” That explains why they have to use words like “bounciness” to describe their very complex music

    • I don’t usually like this deathcore stuff a whole lot, but this band really does it for me. Especially that song Disengage. Fucking kills. And in this case, I think this band will really benefit from adding some “groove laden hooks”, to exhaust that term a little further. I also like the title.
