had this playin in my truck last night with the bass up. couple of hoods rolled up next to me in the intersection, bobbed their heads, winked, smiled, and kept driving. the light hadn’t turned green yet. true story.
You remember what song it was? While I understand the debate about the difference of sound, it’s still Dredg, and though it may not be their strongest album, It’s still awesome and growing on me everyday. To the people who don’t like this album, don’t worry, the next one won’t sound anything like it.
To the people who don’t like this album… go kill yourself! hahaha
yes, it was The Ornament.
to the people who like this half-assed excuse for an album… use q-tips.
you could have put a little more thought into that one.
nice for them to put that out after all the true fans preordered
he said “half-assed.” awesome! I prefer the full monty though. asses shock no one anymore.
serious though. I don’t download, so I have heard very little of the album. I just have blind faith in the dredg-ness. just waiting on may 3rd.
I know, Will.. I know..
I did too, I did too..
I’m kinda crestfallen.
I will still buy it on 3 May. But “Another Tribe”, “The Ornament”, & “Sun Goes Down” are the only bomb pussy.
I personally love this album!
can’t wait for the official wook review, by making the “no dredg go the other way” comment community service, I’m not sure if he doesn’t like the sound, or if he was just trying to spark debate,
having not heard that much, I thought people were just bitching. but now knowing some regular faces around here (ie. they ate their macaroons in silence, etc.) are disappointed, I am getting worried. perhaps I will kill myself now frog
@will listen for yourself, I personally like the album a lot, it’s growing on me more everyday. It’s different but it’s cool. It reminds me of being at a seedy club, and you’re having a good time, but there is feeling of impending doom, but you’re not sure if it’s you or the drugs,
@Will: JungleJ is right.
You will (I hope) like it. It does grow on you (a bit), but compared to their other material… It’s like Salvador Dali painting a portrait of Justin Timberlake, it might be well done, but you know that they have a higher caliber of talent/imagination and a more vast ocean to explore.
thank you Jay, Macaroons. you have helped me find some peace. and Jay, I like drugs! yeah!!!! (but only the good ones that mother earth provides, not the hard shit)
