Limp Bizkit Push Back Release Of “Gold Cobra”

Limp Bizkit have officially delayed the release of their new album “Gold Cobra” to June 28th. Speaking on that, band frontman Fred Durst recently tweeted the following:

Limp Bizkit fans – NEW release date is JUNE 28 !! Had our Interscope meeting today, went amazing. We picked our singles. Time for videos.”

In somewhat related news, Three Days Grace have been performing a cover of Limp Bizkit‘s “Break Stuff” live as of late, footage of that can be found below:

How in the hell was Break Stuff the first song you heard by LB? Faith? Counterfeit? Nookie? Re-Arranged? All were released as singles before BS.

    • I don’t know, LB happened to become really big with Chocolate Starfish in Germany. I also didn’t have access to the internet at that time. Bands like limp bizkit, linkin park and papa roach sparked my interest in music and paved the way for me back in 2000/2001. I’m not gonna stop liking these bands just become some fools say “omgzorz nu metal suXXorz”, for me they are my roots of who I am today, a 16 year old girl.

    • I just did some research and Break Stuff was the only single from Significant Other, which entered the German single charts (at #42). That’s what I was trying to say.

i say “three cheers for people who are not ashamed to like nu-metal still!” Just because music is heavier doesn’t mean it has to be all screaming with no melody. Unfortunately that is alot of peoples take on what metal should be. I tend to disagree. Can’t wait for this new Limp Bizkit to hit stores =)

    • I also continue to embrace nu-metal as the music I spent my formative years listening to. Anyone that so resoundingly dismisses it as horrible and embarrassingly bad music is either too young to have ever really heard it/been a part of it or is simply lying. Prove me wrong.

i’m almost 31 and used to skate to Offspring “Smash”, Pantera “Cowboys from Hell”, Green Day “Dookie”, Deftones “Adrenaline”, Candlebox, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica “Kill Em’ All”, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber, Crossbreed, Deadsy, Orgy, you name it… i say “fuck genre’s, who cares, it’s music, stfu and listen”.

    • Allichs, in all honesty, I admire your reasoning in liking LB. I am not necessarily too fond of them, but you sir made a valid point. Besides, there are worse bands, such as Green Day. Ugghhhhh!

Blueballs, I beg Oden that this album never fucks any earpussy. Or anything limp bizkit related. It’s these reasons I hope the world DOES end.

    • Limp Bizkit puts on a killer live show. There are only a handful of bands better than them and a shit load worse. I know with Wes Borland’s awesome riffs this is destined to be album of the year. The Cobra is upon us!

allichs, i agree with you 100%, korn, LB, early nu-metal acts like that shaped my view of music and influenced who i was at the time. HOWEVER, i go back and listen to that stuff now and shake my head. the only reason I liked those bands was because i hadnt heard anything else with more meaning/heart. I would be so bold as to say that if fred wasnt in LB anymore, i’d give it a chance, but since senior durst is still involved, im avoiding gold dildo.

    • Yea exactly…I’m avoiding it also for that reason alone. Fred Durst is a dork. End of story. The way he presents himself…everything, really. Plus he thinks he’s tough. He ain’t. My friend from grade school would whoop that chump easily. No doubt in my mind.

im gonna have to agree with dude, LB is insane live. One of the best live acts I’ve seen. I also grew up listening to these guys. from day one. 3 dollar bill yall. these guys deserve another shot at tearin it up again. wes borland and company are insane. fred durst is lame but has a solid voice… garbage lyrics but can get a crowd bumpin hard. rollin was the end of them, that fucked them up respect wise. everything ive heard so far from this album sounds nasty, including that douchebag clip on youtube. weeeeesssssssss is back u fucks. i will be downloading gold cobra june 28th!
