Born Of Osiris Denied Entry Into Canada, To Miss Dates With August Burns Red, Etc.
Born Of Osiris have been denied entry into Canada and as such will be missing their previously scheduled dates with August Burns Red, Set Your Goals and Texas In July. Band guitarist Lee McKinney offered the following on the matter:
“Due to some very unexpected problems at the border, we were unable to cross into Canada. We were forced to turn around and head home and could not be more bummed about this. We are so sorry to everyone who had already bought tickets to the shows in hopes to see us. We were excited to get to play a lot of places we haven’t been to before throughout Canada with some great bands. We will try again to make it out to Canada in the near future, and will do everything within our powers to ensure we make it across next time.”

We don’t let ex-cons in, or people who try and smuggle drugs, I wish bands would be more honest about being denied entry.
It’s because they had a van full of burnt CDs of their new record they planned to sell themselves to avoid any $$$’s being distributed back to that Sumerian Records owner.
gonna be serious and ask: is the a band worth checking out or another Asking Alexandria backing track band, or super produced whitechapel deathcore type stuff? just wondering
Will, go to their site or youtube and listen to Follow The Signs. I think this band is truly one of the standouts. Most of the newer bands I hear, even though they are talented, all sound a little bland or unoriginal to me. BOO is one of the rare exceptions. I bought the album the day it came out. Excellent album, 10/10 imo.
Who knew Canada had standards?
@will, after hearing AA on the daily habit just a few articles back on this site, i have to say that BOO is in a completely different league. By far way more talented musicians, not near as much chug chug riffing with BOO and a lot of sweet keyboard tones!
thank you KaOaRoN, TheMediaProphet. I make jokes on this band a lot but their new album is billed as this Protest the Hero, BTBAM magic. and they tour with Darkest Hour who fucking rule. I can always dig more of that “super tech” kind of shit. ***did I just admit to digging shit???
much talent, lyrics are not… and the keyboard is turned to 11. eh… I’ll keep listening and perhaps they will grow on me
Will, don’t bother.
kinda what I think _Natemare. thought perhaps I’d give them a shot. perhaps they had a little protest the hero, btbam in them. but nah. lyrics are too winds of plague five year oldish (IMO: no slam on the dudes who were nice about selecting songs for me to sample, I wanted someone to do that, thanks again bros) and keyboards are turned up over everything it seems. perhaps if I were 14-18 I could see it, but not at 28.
I do enjoy that their short name (example BTBAM) is BOO. that’s cool!
All these bands these days are just riding the “deathcore/metalcore” bandwagon. I guess I’m just old. I’ll stick with Converge and Envy.
Amen to that Nate.
@ _Natemare. name some good Envy cds to get please. I also agree with the “I’m just getting old part.” But I do check in on the little ones now and again to see whats good these days. sadly, not much.
