The Ocean To Film Footage For Live DVD This Month
The Ocean will be filming a special live performance in Berlin, Germany late this month. The group offered the following on the event:
“On January 29th, THE OCEAN will play a unique performance at the Museum für Musikinstrumente at Potsdamer Platz, Berlin. We will play amidst a collection of historic cembalo from the 16th century. We will have a piano player with us who will play on one of these instruments, as well as a cello player. The show will also be filmed for our upcoming DVD. We will not play any ‘Anthropocentric‘-songs yet, but will play some Precambrian songs we’ve never played before.
THE SHOW IS FREE OF CHARGE !!!
The Ocean are scheduled for 11 PM stage-time.”

A free show featuring The Ocean and antique harpsichords? Any citizens of Berlin who are able to go to this and decide against it will be deemed ‘not metal’. I guess I will have to play Precambrian at full volume while smashing my face off a keyboard to simulate the experience.

Ok, when you tell me that Sliknot performed a new song it “MIGHT” peak my interest. when you tell me that All Shall Perish performed a new song, I’d be interested in hearing it. When you tell me that Opeth performed a new song, I’d be pretty dam excited. but The Ocean? really? like half the forum is gonna be like HOLY SHIT!!, Like I’m suppose to care? LIKE I’VE EVER HEARD OF THEM?? and even if I’m “out of the loop” I can bet 99% of the forum doesn’t even know this band exists. But somehow, it’s significant news that The Ocean performed a new song. I ain’t hating on the band. I’m just saying who cares, especially if the band (like this one) maybe sold 5 albums last year.

Badass. Wish I lived in Germany. More people listen to The Ocean than you might think. And they are MUCH better musicians than Slipknot or All Shall Perish or the majority of metal nowadays. I suggest you get “in the loop.” Check out Precambrian if you like proggy stuff or Aeolian if you’re more into metal. But all albums have elements of both.

Now at least most people here have heard of them, which is good on prps part for posting then. I gave it listen, not my thing. Precambrian ain’t that great and neither is this group.

The ocean is on of the best new metal bands out there, there cd collection is a must have for any metal fan and u come on here and make a comment about them with ur head so far uP ur ass u can see ur kidneys slipknot doesn’t have anything on this group, I even prefer the ocean over opeth, this DVD is a must buy!
