Trap Them Perform New Song In NYC, Footage Available
Live footage of Trap Them performing their new song “The Facts” in New York City earlier this month has been made available below. The footage comes from a recent series of shows which saw the band temporarily joined by Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams.
Further footage of the aforementioned set can be found at Metalinjection.net; while Trap Them‘s latest, “Darker Handcraft“, is scheduled for a March 01st vinyl release and a March 15th CD/digital release through Prosthetic.

Ok, when you tell me that Sliknot performed a new song it “MIGHT” peak my interest. when you tell me that All Shall Perish performed a new song, I’d be interested in hearing it. When you tell me that Opeth performed a new song, I’d be pretty dam excited. but Trap Them? really? like half the forum is gonna be like HOLY SHIT!!, Like I’m suppose to care? LIKE I’VE EVER HEARD OF THEM?? and even if I’m “out of the loop” I can bet 99% of the forum doesn’t even know this band exists. But somehow, it’s significant news that Trap Them performed a new song. I ain’t hating on the band. I’m just saying who cares, especially if the band (like this one) maybe sold 5 albums last year.
plenty of people know who Trap Them are. I think more than 1% of the board knows who they are too…so you are out of the loop.
I can’t speak for everyone (just like you can’t speak for “99% of the forum”) but I’ve heard of Trap Them. In fact, I saw them open for Every Time I Die a few months back. It’s pretty safe to say that just because you’ve never heard of a band doesn’t mean they’re not worthy of coverage on this site.

I love Trap Them, have been into the band for a few years, and am stoked to hear new music from the as well as see a guest fill in spot from Andy Williams. Thank you PRP for not just catering to scene kids like vampirexmusic and his limited spectrum of musical tastes.
@vampirexmusic: Trap Them are fucking rad and over the past year or two have gained good exposure and popularity and this video is definitely newsworthy considering Andy from Every Time I Die is in it on top them rocking the shit. Bands like Trap Them are the reason I come to theprp.com in the first place because you won’t find better or more legitimate bands anywhere else (mixed in with the typical dogshit of course). Because of this site alone I’ve gotten into more “unknown” but fucking far superior to mainstream bands than any other source. Revolvermag.com is THAT way you dipshit.

Wow anyone who bashes ETID deserves a big fuck you, one of the few bands that have something called CREDITABILITY, excuse me for caring about personal polics when it comes to a band. @jpmonster90: You do realize that Trap Them was joined on stage by EITD’s guitarist for just THIS performance, right? EITD has no connection to them other than this one performance. So sorry to debunk your theory, but lots of us knew about this band before January 2011…

Every band that gets posted about on here has a first post somewhere. Not everyone wants to hear about Korn and Avengend Sevenfold all the time. Should we just start ignoring every band as of some pre-determined point and only report on like, 12 bands all the time? I for one would love to hear about lesser known bands that I’ve never heard about just for the chance of hearing what else is out.

btw american natemare. I agree with you that the appeal of this forum is in part the obscure bands. that’s why i come here as well. I’ve discovered a lot of my fav bands on this site cause wook posts them when no else probally would. I’m sure people back in the day on the Prodigy boards (if you’re 15, go Google it) were asking “who the fuck is Korn?!” in 1993 when somebody brought them up and everyone was talking about Nirvana and Pearl Jam instead.
Trap Them is one of the best bands on the planet to play heavy music. If you didn’t listen to Barren Seizures in Praise in 09, then you might as well stop listening to heavy music altogether.
I frequent Theprp.com for a combination of discovering new bands and following what other bands are currently doing. I don’t really see the point on even commenting on a band I know nothing about (however, there have been countless times where I have posted something stupid, this is not one of those times)…..now where the fuck are your knives.
