Reminds me A LOT of A Static Lullaby… can’t tell yet if that’s a good or bad thing. I need a hard copy in a good stereo to give it a full go. So far, through laptop speakers I’m not totally impressed, but it’s not the most horrible shit I’ve heard lately.

Year In Year Out/Up and Away is the best track by far on this album. Moody and driving atmospherically, while Puciato’s vocals give it a haunting quality.

    • This album is killer minus those two softer songs…why do metal bands feel the need to write these kinda songs? Don’t get me wrong, i’m a huge fan of that kinda music, just not from these guys. Stay heavy my friends!

    • yeah just gave the cd a whole listen and year in year out/up and away is by far the best on there.
i dont know their new stuff just needs to grow on me.
if they wrote more songs like “Numbers Count For Nothing” or anything off ‘Ruin’ then all would be well.

I’m a big fan of “Ruin” and “Hollow Crown”, and compared to those 2 albums, this new one sounds like a completely different band. It doesn’t suck, it’s just not as interesting as their older shit, not as raw or heavy.
