Oh, Sleeper To Enter The Studio In February

Oh, Sleeper are set to enter the studio to begin tracking their new album on February 21st with a summer release in the cards. Further details are expected soon.

      I hope that if they keep with their religious music they leave it in the storytelling fashion as opposed to switching to something preachy like other Jesuscore bands.

      Well, judging by their track record of releasing totally brutal, skilled and interesting metal, I’m sure they won’t disappoint. 3 albums deep and I can’t say it’s OBVIOUS they are a Christian band, it’s in there subtly, but it’s not blatant. It’s funny, preachy metal has become a real turn off for me, but Oh, Sleeper always write about the most brutal parts of the Bible, about Armageddon and the brutality of warfare, and make it actually interesting for me. Plus the dudes in the band are all really great guys, really down to earth and you can tell don’t use their convictions to look down upon their audience.

      This is definitely something to look forward to.

      fuck this band and fuck the cross they rode in on. just another mundane metalcore band with whiney vocals and “chug” filler. just what we all needed.

      Afghanistam obviously hasn’t listened to any of their records, just trying to be negative. Son of the Mourning was amazing, interesting, and lyrically excellent. Basically, RxInfection’s post is dead on, in my opinion.
