Does this mean they’re playing my high school reunion?
get out your jnco 40″ pantleg jeans and eyebrow rings, nu-metal is BACK!
nu-metal never left. you left it by getting a job and moving out of your parents house.
All three of the above comments could be “Community Service” quotes.
Haha, 2 out of the 3 have been so far. COME ON PRP!!! LETS MAKE HISTORY!! GIVE IT TO dlux NEXT!!! lol.
aaah ha ha haaa! well done ASULL24… thats deftinitely the best quote that theprp has ever featured on the home page, lol…. couldn’t agree more, nu-metal is for metal-rookies… at best, its a gateway for 15 year olds to discover REAL metal.
i don’t see what everyones problem with nu-metal is, there were alot of original bands back then, now you have “metal” bands all playing the same exact type of music, just a different singer. All the drums sound the same, vocals, guitar parts, all this new metal is all sounding the same. Nu-Metal paved the way for many artists, i wish it would come back, there was far more originality back then minus the ripoffs. I think Coal Chamber, Deftones, Korn, Orgy etc where extremely original and dynamic. That being said… shut up about nu-metal sucking because if you really pay attention to all this “hardcore” and “new metal” you’ll notice it all sounds the same, same breakdowns, same drum beats, same vocals, everywhere you look.
There is just no originality in the metal genre any more, sadly.

Gigantic disagree here. I’m into some pretty middle-of-the-road stuff, but if Intronaut and Clutch aren’t original (to name two of many examples), I don’t know what is. Maybe you just haven’t found the original stuff yet. Ya gotta dig! Check out some “post-metal” (stupid labels…), and you’re sure to find some originality there, even if you don’t like it (Isis, Zozobra, Russian Circles – this is just what I know, I’m sure there are tons more).
There is a part of nu-metal out there that has a swamp. Korn, Limp Bizkit and others are swimming trying to get out of it but those crocks and alligators are saying no bitches your staying here.
