Chimaira Resume Work On New Album
Having now completed their “Blue Collar Brawler Tour“, Chimaira have begun work again on their new album. The group made the following posting to their Facebook late last night:
“Tonight was the first night we sat down and listened to all the new musical skeletons for the next album. Expect the unexpected, again.”
Currently the band are scheduled to perform at the House Of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio on December 30th as part of their annual “Chimaira Christmas” concert. Ohio Sky and Solipsist will join them on the bill.

Fuck yes. Way stoked. Especially if they get a badass bass player to replace Jim.
I’m always looking forward to a new Chimaira record
I’m always looking forward to a new Chimaira album in hopes that I may get one with more than one decent song.
i’ve been a fan of them since their first EP. I met Jim back in 06′ on the Killswitch/Chimaira/Dragonforce tour. He was a way cool guy and a had a great stage presence, but I never thought of him as great bassist. I’m looking forward to the new record; the last one was very innovative and refreshing (compared to the rest of their albums).
I caught them on the No Fear Tour too – and from what I remember the entire band just stood in the same spot for 35 minutes and had no stage presence what-so-ever. They were the only band on the bill that I had never heard from before, and after that performance I haven’t bothered to dig any deeper. Right up there with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in terms of sheer boredom.
