At first I was going to say something about how surprised I am that either of these bands are even still touring – then I looked at the list of venues and realized it’s the ‘Dive Bar World Tour 2011′, so that makes sense.

@ Viking. Word. The Orbit Room is in my town and it’s hardly a dive bar either. It’s pretty doubtful that Taproot can fill that place as a headliner.

I believe the Orbit room capacity is about 1800 and Clutch Cargos is around 1500, so they’re pretty comparable. You’re right though, if they do fill the venue it will be because of their home state ties.

    • @HonoluluBlueBalls- I always go to the Orbit Room… back in the day, Taproot packed that place. That was after “Welcome”… show was badass if I remember… Now, there is no way they could pack that place. Current scene is for lame “A Day to Remember” bands…. and teen girls will flock.

    • i seen taproot a few years back at the machine shop and they couldn’t fill that. machine shop only holds about 500. they wont even come close at the orbit room.

I was surprised to see they’re still together too lol. The Haven in Orlando only holds like 150 people. A lot of the dates do look like dive bars but i guess when you lay low for so long paired with mediocre releases that’ll happen. I’m guessing, I never listened to the last record but at the same time no one I know was talking about it either.

    • @ rreddrop. 2000, 11th grade for myself. and living in a small town in the (american) south I am lucky to not be wearing wranglers and listening to country (props to my ac/dc loving dad). everyone starts somewhere when getting into heavy tunes.
ps. you mother called, she said you were aborted and to shut the hell up! lmao
