Slipknot Frontman Comments On Return To The Stage, Confirms More Dates Are Pending

Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor recently took to his Twitter to address the Slipknot‘s newly announced plans to perform at the UK stop of the “Sonisphere Festival” next year. Here’s what he had to say:

“Yes- we are playing Sonisphere UK. And a few others to be announced. Like I said, shows? Yes. Album? No. Baby steps, people. For the fans. Honestly, I don’t know how to feel about the tour. But it’s for the fans, and for the family. We’ll see. I don’t know WHEN I’ll be ready to make an album. Might not be for years. But we will definitely play shows. We’ll see what happens.”

Not that I really give a damn about slipknot, but I love how Corey says HE’S not ready. Yes, there are not 7 other members who are not only more involved in this band, but brought him into the band in the first place. Don’t give me this, I don’t know when I’ll be able to do another album because I’m in a dark emotional place waaaaaaa. Arsonists Get All The Girls, bass player dies and guess what, still made an outstanding album. Corey just doesn’t know how to say “I’m running out of stupid shit to half ass scream and pathetically sing about”.

    • “I’m sick of being the butt of a cosmic joke,
And I don’t get the punchline,
A million people lined up for miles,
To see the great big mouth, shut up and apologize!”

    • As a big Slipknot fan since ’99 im really disappointed!! Doing a tribute tour for Paul in Europe instead of the U.S. the country that made them famous. And saying its for the fans. The original fans arent going to be able to pay tribute if their touring in Europe. Sadly i think Slipknot are turning their back on the original fans and going after the big money Sonisphere shows. If they dont tour the U.S. I will lose alot of respect for them. I would expect this from bands like Metallica but not from the knot!!!
