Bury Your Dead Reportedly Recording New Album Without Frontman

If recent rumors are to be believed, Bury Your Dead have begun recording their new album without band frontman Myke Terry being directly involved. It is not yet known if Terry is still a member of the group or not.

    • hmmm interesting….. i know alot of people hated the self titled with him on it.. i dug it… def. wasnt matt but it was still pretty mean…. basically those guitar players and drummer are pretty damn sick….. there newest record def. lacks , way too much sevendust (not cause homie is black, but cause the music is actually sevendust styleeee) influence…

ive always dug this band as a whole , would def. like to hear what direction they are heading in..

anyone seen the video / radio edit for “without you” ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7Co4e7XWL0 definitly the bands WORST hour. ha.
hopefully that at least put some food on the table for them, as im pretty sure they will look back at that and think what the fuck were we thinking? that chorus is so bad on that…

      anyways….

i have hopes they will get it back to there heavy raw sound.

im off to take a nice poop!

    • This would be exciting news if it weren’t for the fact that the vocals weren’t the only thing wrong with the last two albums. Only way I would give a damn about this band again is if they grew a pair and brought back Bruso.

    • “they’ll record the music, he’ll listen to the music, write and record the lyrics separately. nothing new.”

yeah because thats what any healthy and happy band does

and last album sounded like slipknot, not KSE

    • The breakdown of that song posted is pretty legit, I wish the rest of the song were more like. I think I’m going to dig a little deeper into this band….

Sevendust cover band, that’s exactly what I thought after listening to their recent albums. They’ve just turned into a totally different band after changing the singer. Some may like it, some would definitely hate it. The new singer is actually pretty good, but he’s a nu-metal type, not so hardcore.

funny thing is.. i was on tour with Bloodline Calligraphy and Cassius a couple years back.. myke used to be the singer for Cassius… i talked to him after a couple of the shows and we were talking about Bury Your Dead.. he told me they offered him 100K to join and he was thinking about joining at the time but didnt want his fellow bandmates to know about it. after the tour was over, he joined and made BYD next cd…. hes a good singer dont get me wrong.. but 100k??? he aint THAT good.. especially for a band that is going absolutly nowhere.

Beauty And The Breakdown was their opus in my opinion. As far as I’m concerned, Bruso coming back would be the only saving grace for these guys! BRUSO OR BUST!

    • Anything including and after the self-titled is poo. I hope myke is not a part of this anymore, for some reason I feel that the combination of him and victory records are what destroyed this band. I’ll also hop on the bandwagon and say bring back Bruso. Bruso is an amazing vocalist and also was amazing live. Check out “Alive,” that entire CD is probably the best hardcore live CD I’ve personally ever heard.

    • Myke Terry has way more potential than mat bruso. All of brusos growls and vocals are overlapped and produced…theres a reason hes not in the band anymore. I live here in Massachusetts and have seen them multiple times with Mat and with Myke. Myke was better live. I prefer diversity and ability over just constant growling. Mat sounded like a constipated bear. At least with Myke you can hear him breathe in between growls and screams..He’s more vocally diverse. The band is still amazing regardless of the frontman. Plus they didn’t end up sounding like every other hardcore band ie acacia strain, hatebreed, the ghost inside, emmure etc..all of which I do like.
