The biggest surprise is how much someone is still defending Slipknot as a “metal” band. Hard-rock maybe, but Slipknot it what I considered metal when I was 13…I am now 24.
If you want to educate yourself about music Afnamistam I suggest you look into real metal bands like Napalm Death,Chimaria,Death,Blood has Been Shed,or Gorod. Seriously man, Slipknot and everything involving that piss poor excuse for a “metal band” is just radio friendly garbage. If you want to hear what 8 people in band making legit music sounds like check out Cult Of Luna…they are incredible.

Metal is always healthy and thriving SOMEWHERE, and so it always will be. @TheForbiddenFool – it’s kind of hard to take you seriously about the “death of the metal scene” when according to you, the biggest threat facing it is the fact that a handful of heavy bands have gone (gasp) mainstream. Big fucking deal! Metal has weathered far worse in the past; I’ll take the present situation in a heartbeat. As for you, just take a deep breath, listen to what you like, and the trends will die out.

I take a more conservative approach to my concert viewing; enjoying a vigorous head nod, interspersed with a sip of beer and a shake of the head at all the young punks more concerned about not dying than watching the band play!
