Trivium To Play 2011 “Mayhem Festival”?
A recent posting on Trivium‘s official website, Trivium.org, has led to some speculation that the band will be performing on the 2011 installment of the “Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival“. The post, titled “Mayhem 2011 With Trivium” doesn’t explicitly mention the bands involvement in the tour however.
Rather it links to a fan tribute video to the band that has been posted on the official “Mayhem Festival” site. Currently Trivium are scheduled to begin recording their new album on December 01st with the production team of Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine) and Martin “Ginge” Ford (Funeral For A Friend, Bullet For My Valentine).

Sounds like a mistake, it’s a bit early for this kinda thing. However, the idea is not far-fetched at all what with the band doing Mayhem 09 and having a new album dropping some time in that period. I wasn’t a fan of this band till I saw them open for Slipknot and damn they put on an energetic show.
