DevilDriver Mixing New Album

DevilDriver are making headway with their new album which they expect to release early next year through Roadrunner Records. The group tracked the outing earlier this year with Mark Lewis and are tentatively plotting a February release date for it. In the meantime, band guitarist Mike Spreitzer offered the following update:

“Hello everyone,

starting to really see the fifth Devildriver album come alive here as Andy Sneap is starting to send us mixes! We got the cover all squared away as with the title, we still got the inside art work to approve and some photos, but we are getting there for sure.

We also have been jamming for our up coming Europe tour with 36 crazyfists, we are throwing in a couple tunes we have never played before in devildriver history, should be fun. Looking forward to this tour more than usual, hope to see ya out there!!!

-Mike”

Nope, just read the headline and felt like pointing out how lame I think this band is. I don’t prefer to listen to music from trend hoppers like Dez FaFairy.

    • Thanks for the tip; you’ve really straightened out my life. Right from the beginning, Dez has stated that while Coal Chamber was a combination of different tastes and styles, Devildriver is devoted to the music that HE has always liked. That’s not trend-hopping; it’s a personal evolution accompanied by a major shift in the musical climate. Bands and musicians try new things and take different directions. It happens.
