    • The Big Dirty had a number of killer standout tracks: No Son of Mine, Pigs is Pigs, A Gentleman’s Sport. Some of the experimentation they did on a couple of tracks Rendez-Voodoo I didn’t really like. But I think Gutter Phenomenon sustained itself from start to finish. Every track was gold Jerry, gold. I think it has the most ‘personality’ out of all their records. Having said all that, Hot Damn! is what originally got me into the band…so…hmm…maybe that’s my personal favourite. To reminisce further- I got Hot Damn! with the bonus DVD of their first home video. After watching that, I was like “Shit, these guys are genuinely hilarious. What’s not to like!?”

    • speaking on charity donations, this is community service (metalcore style).
ps. etid don’t make bad records period, but the zenith is always Hot Damn.

    • @will – yeah man, the first time I heard the breakdown leading into “Give me the strength to be widowed…” I was like HOT PANTS! I find the verses a little too ‘sing-song’ for some reason. Anyway…I’m not saying I don’t like it though, okay. sheesh! ;)

I love when band members stand on stage wearing concrete shoes, it really makes you feel they are into the music. Either that, or they aren’t very good with their instruments and would lose the beat if they stopped concentrating on it for a second. Could be either one here, I don’t know.

INRIhab is extra badass, as it’s ETID + Dallas Green. New Junk is fucking amazing, get off your “oh it’s new so I don’t like it, I only like their old stuff” horse.

It has nothing to do with it being “new” or “not like their old shit”, that’s probably the biggest downfall of New Junk, it’s not new at all. It’s 30 minutes of rehash with very little ground they haven’t tread upon before. ETID has been on a transformation since they were a hardcore band in “Last Night in Town”, from that to gritty metal then to dirty southern metal with “the Big Dirty”. “New Junk” was a let down, it was too short and too little to leave any impression on me at all. I listen to the first song and the song with Greg Puciato and throw the rest away. They are better than that album shows, it was almost lazy. I want to hear a new album with the new drummer, and I want to be fucking wow’ed like I’m used to with new ETID.

    • My favourite song of New Junk is ‘White Smoke’. That’s an absolute nut cracker. And tks 1 and 2 as well. The rest are a filler…which ironically is the majority. Ah yes…Anyway, I still listen and love me some etid. Hoping Leggers can inject some new flare into the mix and since Keith has got his mid-tempo hard rock group Hot Damned Those Animals or whatever, he’ll write some more punk tunes.

“Big Dirty” is my fav. Though I’m sure it’s not just this, but being out of college has something to do with the fact ETID isn’t my soundtrack anymore, when “Gutter Phenomenon” was at that time.

    • Gutter Phenomenon is my personal fav, I also thought the last album was lacking some ETID magic, I’m sure they can AND will do better next time.

I asked Jordan if Legs would become their full-time drummer, and he said he would love for it to happen – so I think it’s more Leg’s decision than the band’s. Wanderlust is my tops, followed by One Quarter of a Revolution and then For the Record.

    • Ima whore to the wanderlust b/c the opening riff kills. turtles all the way down “throws newborns off the roof” as well.
ps. my “soundtrack” lately is the new parkway drive (tip hat to surly’s homeland) & some black crowes but how can anyone hate or even dislike any etid. they screw the pooch! everytime
