I watched the video without sound, and I imagined it with “Thriller” music. It read like a middle school goth’s study-hall notebook. The worst part is that bald-headed douche thought the lyrics were so bad-ass that they had to release a lyric video.

    • I haven’t listened to Disturbed in ages, and clicked on this out of curiosity. And my reaction… this isn’t half bad. Sure, the lyrics seem a little stale, and yeah, they’re not the greatest band in the world, but seriously, why all the seething hate for Disturbed? It’s decent industrial/groove/rock/metal, nothing more, nothing less. When a band attains a certain level of mega-success, they automatically become an easy target for ridicule, but that’s no reason to swallow the bait whole and make an elitist ass out of one’s self.

Someone needs to remake this video with just pictures of “Team Jacob”, it’d fit the gayness and immature terribleness of this song much better. At least you know that if you ever fall into a coma, years later you’ll wake up and Disturbed will still be making the same exact terrible music they’ve been shitting out for a decade now.

    • @Rxinfection – Cute, but I was hoping for a bit more thoughtful feedback. I’m hardly a Disturbed fanatic – I guess it’s just when I listen, I hear a HALFWAY DECENT band, not the TERRIBLE band most of you guys seem to hear. Just saying. Seems a bit weird to me, that’s all.

Disturbed is just one of those bands who chose success, repetition and mediocrity, and therefore make the same lame album they’ve been making since they began. Their music is all the same, it never changes, same formula, same tone, same bullshit. For those of us who consider music art, Disturbed and their radio comrades Avenged Sevenfold and Three Days Grace will be like the Michael Bay movies of music, only impressive to the simple minded and easily impressed. There’s no depth here, just the same bullshit they’ve always made for WWE games and truck commercials, and for that, I think they suck. Disturbed is what it is, and it will always be. They live inside a box they will never step out of, and for that, I say blah. They might be excellent musicians, just like Avenged, but you’ll never see it because they won’t step outside of their comfort zones and use some artistic creativity, probably because they don’t have any, at least any more than what got them success in the first place.

    • @Rxinfection – Well said, and I agree, hence why I’m not exactly the biggest Disturbed fan. Otherwise, I would’ve bought all their albums, which I haven’t done since 2001. I do think the size and dimensions of the proverbial “box” differ from band to band, as do their respective standards for creative change, but hey, it’s rock ‘n roll. Never an exact science. I guess I just haven’t been paying much attention to Disturbed, because upon hearing that song, I thought, “Hey, this is OK.” Nothing more, nothing less.
