This pleases me exponentially. I think I’m gonna pull out a classic Surly….Oh..yeah…It’s BONER TIME !
Wow, Grinderman outta nowhere. They’d be a riot. “I got the No Pussy Blues!” Wicked album.
And Tool and those other bands are alright, too, I guess… : P
HA! Smart ass.
^
I’m hopeful that the Deftones will do some club shows because I’m too tired and world-weary for festivals these days.
I have nothing to add to this conversation. I just want to see myself in the recent comments box.
If their show is half as awesome and the set-list half as good as when I saw them a month ago, you’re in for a real treat. Dai the Flu, Birthmark, Needles and Pins.. all real surprising, made me soggy when they started the riff of “..Butcher.”
those lucky kangaroo fuckers
i find it odd that tool are touring here again but not backing it with a new album. They have not released anything new since last time that i know of?oh well at least i finally get to see them after fucking missing them last time
Fuck Australians. For the record, that outburst was an act of jealousy, not bigotry.
@ yer, I believe new Tool and APC albums are in the works.
Has MJK done Passenger live with Deftones yet? Either way, seems like as good a time as ever to work that one out. Or they could always just use that chick from Paramore again. Riiiiiight..
We’re far from lucky…Seeing Tool and the Deftones can happen on a regular week night, at a mid-size club gig more often than not over in the States or Europe. We have to wait 5 years between drinks for most of these bands…and then they usually only do big, impersonal, festivals. But hey…we do have kangaroos, koalas and shrimps on the BBQ, which is heaps better…umm..yeah, sure.

Hey, good call. That didn’t even click when I read the news. I’d like to see that footage.
Surly, your last comment is the exact reason why I didn’t make the decision to become a permanent AUS resident
Great news, bring on the club shows
