    • After those miserable performances and the beyond-horrible Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People album, this band should just hang it up. Matter of fact, Claypool hasn’t been involved with anything even remotely interesting since C2B3.

untill you put out 1 album that measures up to anything primus has done, past or present… your comment is invalid.

Right on Dime, Geor needs his fucking ears checked. This performance was pretty much spot on, which is seriously impressive considering how long these guys have been in the game. Claypool and Co. are masters of their craft. Also, Animals Should Not Act Like People was put out damn near a decade ago and was basically a DVD with a couple new songs. I don’t see how that reference is relevant at all.

With all the watered down horseshit that gets packaged and shoved down our throats these days, I am thankful as fuck that a band like Primus is still doing their thing with a rare mixture of talent and creativity. I am anxiously awaiting the new full-length album.

    • Seems like the ability of Claypool and, to a lesser extent, LaLonde, has you blinded. I wasn’t questioning that in the least. I just thought the performances were lackluster and the music Claypool has been producing as of late has not been nearly up to par with the early-late 90s stuff Primus was doing. Musically, maybe it’s 100x better. Sonically, it’s shit. It’s a subjective opinion, deal with it.

Love the immature name calling, by the way!!

    • Their instrumentals have always been awesome, just as their lyrics and vocals have always been annoying. Shit’s about as funny as The Big Bang Theory (which is not funny at all).

lol i dont know what you were expecting from a performance on national tv? what did you want them to do? start doing backflips? Honestly there only there to get there name out to du masses.

just saw them last night in Vancouver actually, and your comment about them not being there sonically couldn’t be any further from the truth… 20 minute long impromptu jams on a couple of occasions with a drum solo that lasted atleast 10 minutes

no sir… you are a moron.. go spend the 60 bucks and see them live, away from the coporate shinanigans of national broadcasting, and see the band for what they are… great artists with vision and execution.

and like i said before, until you pick up an instrument… and write at least one album that can amount to anything these guys have ever put out, your comments just make you look like the rest of the uneducated music fans out there…
go back to your radio rock, or whatever gets you “oh so sonic.”
