    • What is “fake metal” exactly, smearCampaign? I mean, your post is engulfed in so much word smithory and eloquence that my simple mind just can’t wrap itself around it.

see any of the videos above to get an idea of what i mean by fake metal. metal is a genre rooted in rebellion and creativity. not rehashing boring riffs, breakdowns, and lame contrived vocals. i mean with a user name like etid i thought we might be on the same page with this one. shitty bands like this are standing on the shoulders of the things every time i die did in the burial plot bidding war era and are doing it really half assed and poorly. take for example the bands that etid are about to go out on tour with. Howl and Trap Them. those are real bands that put substance and musicianship above else when they craft their releases. the proliferation of bands like this is plunging metal back into the dark ages. it’s nu-metal all over again.

@smearCampaign : I’m pretty sure that these guys have nothing to do with christian rock…Maybe you have them confused with Devil Wears Prada..?

    • This band is definitely a trendy ass bandwagon esq haircut-core mess, but they are NOT CHRISTIAN. This band is basically trolling the music scene, every album they release is more dumb ed down instrumentally while bringing in more back tracking, more samples and more fucking garbage.

    • @smearCampaign – My question wasn’t in defense of this band. I’m not really a fan of them at all, although I do actually REALLY like the first track they released from this upcoming album. Still, wouldn’t call myself a fan. I just find it unfair that a band is categorized by their fan base. Granted, you attract what you put out and I understand that. There just always seems to be an abnormally high amount of hate for these guys and as hard as I try to understand why, I just can’t. Are they original? No. Do they fall into a lot of the trendy looks and sounds? Yes. I still don’t get the mass amount of hate for them outside of their fan base.
