generally I find it ridiculous when bands try to cover the Beatles….it’s almost always bad, but, Thrice is a lot better than most bands, and this cover is spot on awesome.

They had a song on Guitar Hero 3 that was good (can’t remember the name) and it led me to check out their other music which sadly didn’t sound anything like that one song. What I did hear was a little too emo-ish for me. I don’t like high voices from men, it creeps me out.
The Artist in the Ambulance is a great Long Player. Sure…they’re more on the melodic, post-hardcore bent…you either like that genre or you don’t.
Um, I fucking love Thrice. It’s cool to listen to Identity Crisis, and then Beggars…and think about how they’ve matured.
One of the few Beatles songs I like… Made better by a great band, imo

I played Guitar Hero 3 to death, but Thrice wasn’t on the soundtrack. you must be talking of another band, how does Dustin have a “high voice”?!
they kinduv trend hop. i mean.. great band and all.. but there’s no way they would’ve played this when screamo was in (artist in the ambulance) or punk was in (illusion of safety/identity crisis). But since hipster is in (elements record, dustin solo stuff, etc) its ok. Really Vheissu was the best thing they did b/c it was inspired by the experimental prog bands. Got them 86′d from the major label thing tho. good way to go if you ask me.

Not a big Thrice fan. That being said, I saw this headline and expected them to methodically rape one of my favorite Beatles songs like every other band that covers them does. They didn’t. It was a decent cover.

they recorded a cover of elenor rigby during artist in the ambulance. i’ve been a fan since identity crisis and still am.
Not a thrice fan, but I’m shocked that this cover actually worked out as much as it did.
