Producer Revealed For New dredg Album
dredg posted the following update regarding their new album on their official website earlier today:
“Yesterday, we began working on our fifth record with musician/producer Dan the Automator. We will be writing and recording it in San Francisco for the next month and a half and are hoping for an early 2011 release. Stay tuned as there will be more updates and studio footage in the coming months.

class. all class. Dan did the first Head Automatica record with Daryl P. also. Excited I am. Thrilled you should be.
I just hope they stay with the Leitmotif, El Cielo, The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion style. Dan Nakamura is a great producer, and I love his work with Daryl P, Mike Patton, Gorillaz, etc. I just hope it’s not a “poppy” record.
so the man who had a hand in dr. octagon, deltron 3030, & gorillaz is taking on….. dredg?
i know that he’s worked with gavin at least once and he did one of the ill-fated ode to the sun remixes, so i’m not that surprised.
should be interesting.
