Corey Taylor is talented but Johnny Cash’s music sucks! Especially, the newer generation who saw the movie on Johnny Cash and think is the greatest thing since sliced bread. My parents never even mentioned his name once when I was grown up and every song I have listened to by him sucks. The music, his voice, etc. Get off the Johnny Cash bandwagon and listen to good music.
He should spending his time auditioning bass players.

I don’t claim to be an expert but I don’t buy into his hype. I flat out do not like his music; it does not mean you or anyone else can’t enjoy it. Also, he did not write a lot of his music. It is plain and boring. Bands like Pantera, Biohazard, Machine Head, Alice In Chains, Tom Petty is good music. Also, Johnny Cash’s covers of “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails and “I won’t back down” by Tom Petty are flat out horrendous. Some of the worst covers ever.

@biotera – Alright then, I appreciate the response. I find it hard to say the metal/rock bands you mentioned (AIC’s one of my faves) can somehow be compared to (as in “better than”) Johnny Cash. Apples and oranges, man. But anyway. I think we’ll have to agree to disagree here and go our separate ways. This could have been a beautiful, beautiful friendship. Heh heh.

–I wish he would have just stuck with Slipknot, too bad they can’t get along and taylor is a softie deep down inside. But thats what fuels the hate music!! o well
