Webisode Series Launched For Deftones Bassist Chi Cheng
Friends and family of ailing Deftones bassist Chi Cheng have begun a series of webisodes documenting his 2008 accident and the aftermath of it. The first two chapters of the four part series have been posted online and can be seen below. The series leads up to the forthcoming free benefit show being thrown for Cheng at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA on August 14th.
P.O.D., Brian “Head” Welch, Living Sacrifice, The Chariot, Secret And Whisper and more will all be taking part in the show, along with live demos from the Metal Mulisha and more. Further details can be found at www.oneloveforchi.com.

At first I thought it was just going to be video of Chi sitting in his bed. Still would have been more interesting than an Underoath webisode.
holy shit…. the accident was because some fuck wouldn’t let them pass? it sounds like it was totally avoidable. and chi wasn’t wearing his seat belt? this is upsetting, again.
wow, the first video is pretty shocking.
pretty sad shit. id really like to see what chi looks like, but then again maybe i dont….. i dont think he’ll ever be back in the tones again which sucks balls. all the best to him and his family, and always wear your seatbelt!!!
