I like this so far, but I’ve liked every 36CF album.
There are some great riffs on this album, but not great songs. Its ok, they peaked with Snow Capped Romance…………
WHOA! This is much heavier than their previous effort… good. Need to listen to it all before judging.

as for the CD, its pretty decent, but just another 36 album… snow capped romance is still their heavy hitter
Heavier is not the answer for this band. It just ended with Snow Cap. I think Brock is seriously underrated. Its just not what it used to be.
While 36CF is a contender for my favorite band and has been since Bitterness the Star, I agree this album has a handful of great moments, however it does fall short of my hopes. I’d give it a 3.8/5.
slowly going downhill since A snow capped romance, althought Rest inside the flames was a pretty good follow up. i blame Steve Holt sitting in the producer’s chair for this.
i like it better than the last effort… but somehow they lost their outstanding sound after rest inside the flames… i blame the us-market! no one bought that great record over there, so they felt like getting closer to those metalcore stereotypes to make ends meet. in europe they played their greatest shows during that episode and some some songs became huge club hits. still don’t get it…

I like what I have heard. However, I feel like they are quickly falling into a genre of music that was defined years ago…. Ok… I don’t feel… I know… The only thing that really keeps this as a solid 36CF feel is Brock’s voice… if you exchange it wtih someone else… you have a new wanna be metalcore band…SCR is their best album though, doesn’t top it.
