I’ve given this record a few spins and I have to agree with Munky that “The Past” is def one of the best songs on the record. Now as far as the meaning behind “Holding All These Lies” is concerned…that’s a little strange for Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny to have such an affect on what your parents lied about, lol. Man oh man people are gonna make fun of them for this one…
dude I just heard the easter bunny/santa claus thing and how he was crying at the end of the song. You have to be kidding me… WHHHHHYYYYY!!!!!!! Santa!!!!!!!!! WHHHHYYYY!!!!! IT WAS MY MOM THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT I SAW HIM AT THE MAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!!! HE ATE THE COOKIES I LEFT!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cue bagpipes
Anyone remember the first Korn Who Then Now? What a far cry from the making of Kill You. Ross Robinson was in the studio trying to get him into the song. I wish I could see the making of “Holding All These Lies”. Ross in the studio like “Remember how you felt, The red hat, the reindeer, the easter eggs, they were all bullshit,”
“Remember how you felt, The red hat, the reindeer, the easter eggs, they were all bullshit,” man that was the funniest thing I’ve ever read on the prp ha ha ha, I didn’t know jon sang about santa claus on that song, I did listen to it so I can hear the fake moans he does at the end.
Are any of you guys considering the fact that this is someone who DIDN’T write the lyrics talking about what he’s under the impression that the lyrics are about? I seriously doubt that the song is all about Santa and easter eggs. The concept of addressing the fact that, by their nature, parents DO lie about a lot of things to their own children is actually a strong one. Go on doing what you all have gotta do to have something to talk shit about and sound “witty” though.
Haha, you’re too much dude. Yea I used to have the Who Then Now VHS tape, lol.
@lern2swim…if you click play on this video up top you’ll clearly hear Munky describe the meaning behind “Holding All These Lies”…unless you have an IQ of like 5, you should be able to make out what he’s saying. It’s not rocket science dude.
@Stuckpig
Wow. For someone trying (and failing) to insult my intelligence, your really are a stupid piece of shit. Read my post again. Take it nice and slow. Sound out the big words. Look up any you don’t know.
Again, in case after rereading it your still feeling too feeble to grasp it. Munky didn’t write the lyrics. Sure, he all he can do is give an explanation based on what Davis has described to him. I can easily imagine Davis giving those to him as simple examples though and him repeating them in this short video (nevermind the fact that he’s probably drunk or stoned). Of course, I wasn’t in the room; you weren’t in the room. So, I could be wrong. But I think my logic makes more sense than the alternative.
Is that clear enough for you Suzy? Or were you projecting with your IQ comment? Should I dumb it down to some grunts?
Yeah munky has done this for a quite a few songs. He just says what he thinks the lyrics are about. This song is not about santa clause but all the haters jump on it for another thing to make them look soooo cool. “hey look at me I’m hating on korn… God I am cool”
i know this is old, but i dont think it was about santa or easter bunny. i agree with lern2swim, munky is just giving his opinion. i think the lyrics is towrds the belief of god. simply, he feels bad for letting his kids on believing there is one. please note, im not saying there isnt one.
