      pretty cool of trent to get with the times and use auto tune, oh and he sampled the bass line from “hey man nice shot” oh wait… wat?

      He thinks he’s witty. Mockingly comparing Richard Patrick to Trent Reznor. Even though their music sounds nothing alike. Of course, like I said, the guy can’t even accurately hear a bass line so his opinion’s obviously worth nil.

      I don’t think he sounds anything like trent but he does look like him in this video and has some similar mannerisms with the mic. Bass line creeping in the background of the beginning reminded me of nice shot but I haven’t heard the song in years.

      My god there’s already so much bullshit in this thread, it’s mindboggling. 1) @dissever – Bass line from Hey Man? Way off. Nice try though. 2) @Lern2Swim – “…even though their music sounds nothing alike…” Come on, buddy. Did you listen to the song? Or previous Filter? Oh you’re deaf? That makes sense. Really. 3) @buttcrack – The more I learn about your musical tastes, the less I like you. But yeah, decent song IF IT WASN’T FOR THAT FUCKING AUTO-TUNE. Shameless pandering to the autotune-loving-(du)masses. Gross. I’m out!

    • @Lern2Swim – Oh…I was duped. I took the bait. I fell for that one. I feel violated by the ribbing of the guys razor -sharp wit. I’m so alone. Anyway, moving right along…yes, I knew what the dastardly rascal was up to! I just thought he might’ve been talking about Trent Tomlinson.

      wow. this has got to be one of the biggest sucking fucking piece of shit songs Ive heard all year. auto tune is so fucking gay. lyrics are dumber than the auto tune. Honestly, if it werent for Fear Factory, Deftones, and Nevermore putting out their newest releases…I could easily call the american metal scene SAD, PATHETIC, AND FUCKING DEAD. I thank god for them saving us.

      Well, considering there really hasn’t been much of a statement of like or dislike by anyone who’s posted… it’s nice to know that it’s illicited such a strong reaction from you… I guess…. good for you…. maybe…

      Has any actual heavy/rock music fan cared about Filter since the Short Bus days? Even that record wasn’t that good. I did enjoy what they did on the Spawn soundtrack. Outside of that its been all weak shit.

      Not liking this track but I’m hopeful for the album. I’ve liked everything but Short Bus by these guys. If that makes me a… what was it… “shit pounding boy loving FAG” then I suppose that’s what I am.

      Christ, can I get a what-what from somebody about the similarities between NIN and Filter? Note that I’m not saying they’re THE SAME, just that SOME of their tunes are close cousins. And watch yer fuckin’ mouth, Lern2Swim. Those are big words for a bad speller. BOOM!

      Some of you should just accept this for what it is, it’s a band that’s been around for fifteen years, they aren’t going to switch up their style to sound like BTBM or DEP, they just make music that fits their style. The Reznor comparisons are retarded, maybe on Short Bus because that’s the album he wrote after leaving NIN, so naturally there are influences. I can tell the ages of you all just by your postings, and I know that most of your were still pooping your pants when Filter started, let alone NIN.

      @robichaud1

      PURPOSELY spelling my screen name differently than the actual word makes me a “bad speller”? That’s about the stupidest thing I’ve read since… well… your last post. What the fuck does “can I get a what-what” even mean? Nice job accentuating your post by putting “Boom!” at the end though. That really let me know that you mean business and are a man not to be trifled with. Yeah. I’m scared. Totally scared.

      @buttcrackguy

      That’s about as accurate an assessment as I think anyone else is going to make in here. It’s not like people can be expected to use any form of logic or sense when posting though. Although, I do disagree that it’s necessarily an age thing.

      you know i really liked early filter , and i’d love to see them make a fear factory type of comeback, but richard patrick comes across like a giant douche. want to know how i know youre gay?……you like new filter!

      @Lern2Swim – Sorry man, didn’t wanna scare ya. Not my intention. Mkay? So back to basics, the only I issue I have with you is your broad generalization that if I think Filter sounds like NIN, I know nothing about music. That’s a little much, no? Filter doesn’t (or didn’t, really) sound like NIN as much as, say, Airbourne sounds like AC/DC, but there is some similarity. Just like the similarity between you and a big bag o’dicks. *Ahem* BOOM!

      robichaud, I’d have to assume that you are 11, because that’s the way that you are behaving, and only an 11 year old would start an internet fight over the new Filter song. Are you going to tell me that you are going to kick my ass next? And I don’t know what country you are from, but in America we don’t end our sentences with “BOOM!”

      @robichaud1

      I think you know nothing about music because, well, apparently… you know nothing about music.

      You seem to be entirely too impressed with this “internet persona” you’ve forged for yourself with this stupid “boom” shit and the attempts at witty insults and posturing.

      I’m going to go against what Buttcrackguy just said and say that you’re probably older than 11. Because, while the level of how obviously pathetic you are is very very high, I’m betting it’s due to you simply being a fucking loser rather than just not old enough to know better.

    • this song is awful. but the fight after more than makes up for the time wasted listening to it. nice dudes.
      the video storyline though was neat.
      whats up with afghanistam hating black dicks? and homos? you should (if you don’t already) know hatred is far closer to love than uncaring will ever be. that said.. leave the hatred at your KKK meetings. it is fun to bash on musical taste, not people. wait… listen for it….. BOOM!

      you know what will…that “hatred closser to love” neo-hippy bullcrap you just shit out of the PUSSY section of the back of your mind – through your finger tips onto this theprp thread was pretty gay. But besides that, I just cant hate you! The Tick was one of THE BEST cartoons ever!!!! right in between ren and stimpy and rockos modern life. It was a damn funny, under-rated cartoon and made an AWSOME live action sitcom spin-off too. Ah I freaking miss the early 90′s.

      If I put my two cents in this far into the long thread, I’m just gonna say I agree with robichaud. Song would be decent if it weren’t for the auto tune and overprocessing on the vocals. Video was pretty cool. I think we should check out the rest of the new album before we can say too much about the current state of Filter.

      @Lern2Swallow – First of all, BOOM. Secondly, “internet persona”? My name’s my fuckin’ last name, and I AM number one, so there. That’s my picture too. I’m a little pale. Thirding, I think you’re Kevin, so I can’t take anything else you say seriously. Fourthness, yeah, I try to be funny. And I’m successful as hell. So a big bag o’dicks (white, black, red and yellow) to you sir. Five, we’ve already spent way too much time on this, in a NIN thread none… or wait, sorry, a Filter thread nonetheless, so let’s call it a day. @Buttsuck – I’m like, almost 13, so like… shut up.

      All I can say is that it’s really great that Filter can inspire this sort of reaction in people in 2010. I doubt this album will be as good as those that precede it, but I look forward to it, nevertheless.

      @willy: how could I make another Point Break if “Roach” turned my chest into pizza? Are you expecting a sci-fi Point Break sequel? Because you know… I (Busey) am so extreme, military cyborgs give me pedicures. Have you heard the new Ke$ha album, it’s so cool
