maybe that’s why synyster gates is banging his bloody head against the window? he may have been locked in that room and forced to listen to this song on repeat — for eternity. it’s your fuckin nightmaaare… — just kidding. it’s not that bad if you can just accept the normal progression of your average band as they gain popularity… they slowly become more… well… pop/mainstream/radio songs. i can agree… it’s no “waking the fallen”, for sure… but it’s not terrible, either, if you’re taking it as its own album without comparing it against their other CD’s. i have slowly learned that in music… if you expect “X” band’s new album to sound like their last one, or even worse, their “best” one, you’re gonna be disappointed 99% of the time. there *are* bands who surprise you and come out with something even hotter, but those are extremely rare.
