Wow. Morphine AND Fentanyl?!? This guy either had a death wish or he was experimenting for the first time and OD’ed.

Fentanyl is an EXTREMELY powerful drug used to treat chronic pain. It’s approximately 80 to 100 times more potent than morphine. Combining the two is suicidal at best.

Either way, it’s an extremely unfortunate situation for his family, friends and fans of the band. At least this can offer some kind of closure for those who were close to him.

You cannot prove an OD as “intentional” unless there is a suicide note or they made some kind of statement to someone before hand.

Beyond that, it’s completely impossible to prove that the person was suicidal and that it was their intention to kill themself.

It’s not secret that Paul was known to use heroin, so it’s not a surprise that he was abusing other IV drugs.

In all likelihood, he was probably experimenting with the drug and took an OD amount. You have to remember, if you’re not in the right frame of mind (ie: altered), then it’s extremely easy to screw something as precise as a dosage of morphine and/or fentanyl.

    • Exactly, you don’t intentionally overdose unless you take a whole bottle of pills with the express purpose of killing yourself for sure. Just as we went over with The Rev (Avenged Sevenfold), he accidently overdosed because we was NOT trying to kill himself, he was trying to get high. There’s a big difference and it’s naive to think otherwise.

    • Dude was just getting high. Believe it or not, some people find these kind of combinations enjoyable, a non-user wouldn’t understand. Fentanyl is just really risky, someone who handled it one time, might not be able to the next time. Bad luck, he went too far to try and get that desired rush.
