Pre-production is well underway for Protest The Hero‘s next album. The group currently have plans to officially begin recording it in August. In the meantime, they have posted footage from the writing sessions for it online below:

Pretty damn cool. I hope it differs from the last album and sounds closer to te first.
To this day, I still can’t get past the lead singer’s voice. It just annoys me. He reminds me too much of David Draimen and that, in and of itself, annoys me. I like the music…just can’t stand the lead singer.
Well… I guess I’ll be the one to say it. I loved Fortress to death and it’ll be really difficult to surpass what they’ve done on there, but if anyone had the ingenuity and pure skill to do it, it’d be these guys. Can’t fucking wait.
I love everything about PTH. Seen them live 2 times and it is always an amazing show. Rody owns the live show and has a unique voice in metal.
sounds awesome. i love rody’s voice. alot of metal bands who rely on constant growls/screams sound alot alike…have for awhile now. it’s always good to hear something refreshing that doesn’t suck.
