Deftones To Release Three Tracks For “Rock Band” Video Game Next Week
The Deftones will be offering three tracks for play in the “Rock Band” franchise of video games next week. The tracks will be made available for purchase both individually and as a three pack and run as follows:
“Cherry Waves“
“Hole In The Earth“
“Minerva“
The songs will arrive on the Xbox Live Marketplace, Playstation Store and Nintendo Wii Shop on June 08th.

I don’t really play RB or GH so much these days, but I could think of 20 other Deftones tracks that would have been better to play. If you can’t FC Hole In The Earth on GH in the first two tries, something is wrong.
They need to put “Around The Fur” on there. The drums would be so rockin and fun to play.
These type of ‘video games’ need to go away.
These types of games are great for bands, more so. It’s basically a new, lucrative means of turning over some extra revenue….especially in the face of the ever increasing ease with which their music is pirated these days. I personally find the games really dull. Who on here is getting into some Red Dead Redemption? I am. Oh..yeah.

I second buttcrackguy, they need to start putting out songs better suited for these music games, these 3 songs wouldn’t even make my list of songs I’d want to play. Oh well, Deftones is Deftones I guess.
I’m the middle here. I do enjoy jamming some good metal tunes (since I’m not talented enough to do it in real life) but I WOULD rather be playing something along the lines of Red Dead Redemption. Also, Minerva is easily my LEAST favorite deftones single. The only thing I can think of that would be worse is the bullshit experimental songs they’ve dropped on the previous two albums (before the magnificent Diamond Eyes, of course).
To each his own.I don’t play rock band but if I did I’d love to play hole in the earth or my own summer preferably. Red Dead is currently on the top of my list,pretty sick game hehe.
I like playing these games every once in awhile…on a good week I might average 2-3 hours of fake plastic jamming. But yeah, Red Dead Redemption looks pretty sweet. I want it. Now! Don’t even get me started on the massive chubby I have waiting for Fallout: New Vegas.
Nice, at least they are thinking of the alternative folks who play those games and are fans, instead of having to painfully play Blonde or Foreigner. And Ya’ll im still stuck on Modern Warfare2 like maggots to a dead carcus. Damn im seriously addicted to that game…
