Limp Bizkit Postpone Summer Tour

The bulk of Limp Bizkit‘s planned summer tour has been postponed to the fall. Band frontman Fred Durst has said that the postponement comes as a result of politics with promoters and will allow the band to play in “more cities” in “appropriate venues.” More details are expected shortly.

    • There’s a lot missing from the story, but the band wasn’t happy about playing ampitheaters with seats and more floor. They need to handle management better. I mean official website not up yet, release a damn single already and then the album. Originally Fred said early Feb. Now it looks like they won’t really tour US till November cause they are going all over the world from August through October.

    • Fred thinks just the name Limp Bizkit alone will get the asses into the venue, but he’s gotta realize that they gotta hype themselves first. I mean, how long has Fred been involved in the music business, and he doesn’t know any of this? Come on…

From previous posts on ThePRP they’re looking to book stadiums….. which seems like it’d be a hell of a lot easier to do in the summer time when the NBA / NHL are in the off-season.

How are they gonna fill these kind of venues? are there really that many alienated teens out there these days still? I know that LB is a huge band but what are they thinking trying to tour ampitheaters? Ozzfest tours ampitheaters and they dont even sell out most of the time and ozzfest is a goddamn whole lot better than Limp bizkit singing “faith” and “nookie” I dont know why they made such a bold move LB is not a headliner type band in other words there not “korn” or “metallica” they want to be, but there not, My dream show for this summer even though its not gonna happen would be seeing 311, korn, deftones, and some new bands go out on tour, Mixing that 90s hard rock/alternative funk…

I believe this is code for “Wes pissed me off again, and I dont want to play in a band with him anymore.” As much of a guilty pleasure as they are, this band needs to stop.
